I agree with you and your thoughts about these scenes that I remember watching and thinking exactly what you said "Ew." and "Disgusting honestly.". I did not ever put it into this visual, but yes... it is like a grown man raping an innocent child". This scene is horrifying in every kind of way.  To Jarrett's post:  I like your title, and how it is 2 things that are not necessarily known to go together, but it fits for this. Ned was definitely one of those characters that you could not, not like. He was a good guy. I agree with you in saying Ned was only treated with dishonesty and unfairness even when he stayed loyal to the kingdom even in times that he did not have to.  To Mitchell's reply to Jarrett's:  I agree with you Mitch and think the part of him being loyal all the way to his downfall. He was true to his kingdom always and lived for the Stark family. 

 Caiti Mickles I come from a very opinionated, Christian family; this means that no one in my family thinks that rape could ever be okay. I agree with this statement as long as the rape actually happened. Sometimes a person gets their heart broken and wrongly accuses another person of raping them. I have been around cases of rape and molestation so I know how it can affect a person. When someone is raped, they are completely powerless, and they are overwhelmed with fear. There is nothing they can do to keep that person from having their way with them. I can remember when I was twelve years old and my cousin came home crying her eyes out because her boyfriend took advantage of her, but then two weeks later when he was back over at the house she said she was just upset the night she told us. Myles Davis UNIV 375 400 Sept 21, 2020 Ned Stark: The Honorable Lord of Winterfell To be an honorable person is best described as someone that will always take the high road never going low.  Someone that will always seek out the truth even when everyone else is telling him lies.  Someone that fights for the good and innocent even when they are surrounded by evil and the guilty.  To be an honorable person you would have to be like Ned Stark, a man so honorable that he was killed trying to do what he thought was right for his kingdom.  A man who wanted to stop at nothing to uncover the truth about the death of a dearly beloved friend.  Despite what most people believe I think that Ned Stark was a very honorable man and maybe one of the most honorable in the show. Let me preface this with, I love both Khal Drogo and Daenerys as characters. I think they both have unique personalities and of all the plot lines you have to keep straight during the first season, theirs is the easiest and most entertaining (it may also help that Jason Momoa is pretty easy on the eyes).  So now that I have shown you a lovely photo of Jason Momoa killing it as Khal Drogo- lets get to the part you may not like. He’s trash for the first part of season one. I know I know I just told you that I love his charcter but you can blame the adaption from book to the small screen for this statement. Khal Drogo bought Daenerys…he bought her. I think its hard to come back from that but arranged marriages still happen in todays time so while that part is horrible, I can kinda see it being reddemable based solely on the fact that it was the “norm” of society. The rape scene in the show though…trash. I just want to know how many women were helping make the adaption and were like ‘yeah

  Is it really ok to y’all though?                I don’t know what is going on with “Game of Thrones” but they are making something so disgusting and turning it into something acceptable. After previewing the second episode of the show it introduces our young protagonist dealing with her situation as a sex toy for Drogo and has no say in it being wrong or right in her favor. As the night falls she seeks of way to please him and make it more comfortable for her even though it is still against her will. As long as she finds it more suitable for her then I guess its ok, wrong. Besides “Game of Thrones” I have never seen a show where one-character display’s a sexual power over a person and it’ll be ok in their world. With the best way of adjusting to her new role as Drogo’s new sex toy she takes the initiative to ask the other sex slaves what could she possibly do to make the relationship between her and Drago better without it feeling uncomfortable and forced even though it already is. Jarrett Riffle Loyalty and Death             “Winter is Coming,” is simply the most iconic house motto in both the book and the television series. It represents the Stark house that has been the crown in the North for centuries. With Eddard Stark being the King at the time he had a major responsibility towards his kingdom, by protecting his citizens from the ferocious House Lannister. There is no doubt that in this story that Ned is presented as the “good guy” and the true heir of the throne. Ned’s loyalty to the King of the seven kingdoms has gotten him in many more predicaments than one. Lord Stark is one of the more honest characters that have been shown in the series, after watching and reading I concluded that this is the reason for his death. He was always loyal to the truth and honestly ruled his land, which he did not realize would soon be the end of him. Within the story there are a handful of unresolved characters that you can’t understand their true motive, but Ned is not on

He is very popular among fans for being honorable and just. He was made a martyr in the show, and it even among fans, but it was his just and honorable ways that led him to make foolish decisions that would ultimately get him killed.      I do not believe Ned Stark was generally stupid, just stupid in a political sense. He was naïve to the political climate of Kings Landing and went about his job as hand of the king as if he were ruling in Winterfell and he even more foolishly expected everyone there to play along. I mean anyone in Kings Landing should know to never trust Littlefinger.   ALL HAIL SANSA STARK By: Ranasia Rumley At the beginning of the game of thrones, Sansa stark is introduced as the eldest daughter of Eddard Stark and sister of Rob, Arya, Bran, and Rickon Stark, and her half brother Jon. Unlike the rest of the stark family, Sansa is seen as a young and naive girl who lives in a fantasy world. Sansa was seen as someone who likes to sew and do other girly things like poetry and dancing, which is the reason many people dislike her. The time where the game of thrones took place was a time where women were seen as weak and fragile and were not supposed to do anything noble like. That’s why viewers seem to hate her compared to her sister Arya because she is exactly what the show portrays a woman to be.                Ned Stark. Ned Stark was the great man who ran the north and ran Winterfell. Ned Start was the great man who was personally asked by the king to be the hand of the king, to be his right-hand man. But was Ned really that great? Did he really understand the chess match that is King’s Landing, that is the Iron Throne and all its components?             Ned ran Winterfell the way he knew best so of course he understood everything that was going on, how everything was supposed to work, etc. Here he was playing checkers with everyone else playing checkers as well. Everything was ran how a simple man, much like Ned was, knew how to run things. Not to mention, Ned had control of the people and what they did. Why someone as honorable as Ned Stark had no escape from his self or the corruption of Kings Landing. Ned was more than just a popular character; he was the character everyone depended on when things went downhill. Viewers had a comfort zone when it came to Ned Stark and played the “perfect leader” to Winterfell. In all honesty Ned Stark made more mistakes than he should have that left viewers confused and shocked towards his pointless decisions. Ned was a genuine character but just dug himself too deep in a hole that was just big enough to fit his chopped off head.
